Employers have a door: Midlife @ Work. This week is yours. You can still do the job. That is not the same as the job still fitting the woman you are becoming. Some hours are theatre. Some roles only ever funded the children’s years. Some careers were allowed to be the serious one — here, or at home.

- Name it on the map.
- Write the next role in one sentence — or write “there is no next role yet.” Show it to one person who will not flatter you, or keep it on the map if the week cannot hold a witness.
On each path
Standard. Does the next third of working life still fit?
Empty House. If the job was only ever to fund their years, what is it for now?
Diaspora. Whose career was allowed to be the serious one?
Capacity-first. Hand one decision away, in writing, this month. If the firm cannot survive that, the firm is the problem.
Time · trap · if you cannot
Time. 10 minutes to read. 20 minutes for one sentence. Showing it to an adult is extra, not the grade.
Trap. Updating LinkedIn as the work. A resignation speech. Selling your board a map — that invoice is Sprint.
If you cannot. “There is no next role yet” is a complete sentence. Keep it on the map.
